I considered mself lucky that I came early, because people just kept piling up behind me.Everyone brought their resumes, and was quite coy to the line-up because it was to be expected. I had to stand in line for more than an hour, before we had a chance to get in.Those who called the day before for advanced registration had an easier time and had a much shorter line to contend with. For myself, I had expected a much longer wait, but I think the organizers were quite efficient.While we stood in line, some of the crew were already passing along the job fair registration form, and application forms to fill from McDonald’s, Cineplex, and Cypress Mountain.Anyone who wanted to be employed during the upcoming 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics would have been wise enough to come here to this fair. This is what I like the most about joining a career fair, you may be lining up, but you shoot two or more birds with one stone. All in all, I was able to apply with ten companies, which I never would have done had I gone to these companies’ offices by myself. I haven’t been hired yet, but I feel good already.
